This in turn caused him to be Banish for murdering his own family. Zeus noticed him and Ixion was given a second chance on Olympus. However, driven by lust, he violated Zeus's trust and tried to rape Hera, Zeus's wife. As punishment, Ixion was bound to a spinning inflamed wheel in the sky, forever uttering the words, "you should be grateful to your benefactor."
